1.4112 stainless steel has good resistance to rust and is a high quality stainless steel currently used in the high grade bulk knife market, its strength and sharpness is even better than ATS-34, with a high chromium content of 16-18%, which makes it the second most commonly used stainless steel (after ATS-34), and is the earliest stainless steel to be accepted by knifemakers and has been very popular, especially after a sub-zero treatment process has been developed, which treatment reinforces the toughness of the steel. It has the disadvantage of being rather sticky and heating up quickly when grinding, but it is easier to grind than any carbon steel and much easier to cut material with a hand saw.1.4112 has a very low annealing temperature, high hardness after quenching, usually to HRC56-58, good corrosion resistance (magnetic) toughness are very strong.

   

1.4112 stainless steel is mainly used in stainless steel slicing, mechanical edging and shearing tools, surgical blades, high wear-resistant equipment parts.
