1.4034 tool steel indispensable for saving lives in surgery

   

1.4034 mold steel is produced according to the German standard medium carbon Cr13 type martensitic stainless mold steel, steel mills often softened annealed state delivery, Brinell hardness ≤ HB245, the user to split the material, processing, heat treatment, manufacturing finished products, use.  

   

1、Main chemical composition (Wt%):

2、Similar material: X46Cr13.

   

3、Material characteristics: 1.4034 is a Cr13 type martensitic die steel with good rust resistance, excellent polishable properties and very strong hardening ability.

   

4、Applicable fields: cutting tools, surgical instruments, pump parts and valve fittings. 

  

5、Process route: induction vacuum degassing furnace (or other) smelting → hot forging + softening annealing → milling or turning surface → finishing tools → (vacuum) quenching → (vacuum) tempering or other.

   

6、Smelting crystallization temperature: 1470℃-1350℃.

   

7、Final forging temperature: relative amount of austenite phase (A).
